Spalding Cycling Club: Ladies

Spalding Cycling Club promots cycling for all as part of our British Cycling Club Mark Commitment.

For Club Members, of all ages, who wish to participate in competitive disciplines we provide access, where possible, to training and events in such areas as Cyclo Cross, Time Trial and Road Racing.

As a result of the increased interest in cycling generally and in particular amongst women, we now have a growing number of Non Racing Club Members. The Club organises regular Saturday Morning Club Run Rides which anyone can join in, young or old, male or female and are usually over a distance of around 25 to 40 miles. And the best bit - no one gets left behind, we care about our riders!

Further to the success of our growing ladies section, and following a successful trial, we have now introduced Friday Evening Rides for Women Only, which are to be held on the last Friday of Every Month (Usually!). The Rides will leave the Fishermans Arms Pub at Pode Hole at 6PM.

The Purpose of the rides are to be sociable and the distance and speed will always be determined by who is in the group on the day, so as always allowing every rider in the group to be comfortable and enjoy the ride, and most importantly to be able to chat to one another at all times. Typical rides will be around 60-90 minutes in length.

If you are interested in Cycling, but feel that you may lack the experience or confidence to ride with others, then this is the ride to come on, there will always be an experienced female rider leading the group and will always provide plenty of help if you need it.

*Any Ladies are Welcome*

*Do Not Have to be a Club Rider*

*Roadworthy Bike*

*Front and Back Lights*

*Cycling Helmet is Strongly Recommended*

Again, the distance and speed of each ride will be dependent on the group, but the emphasis will be on a social ride not a training slog!
